Pratical measures for visiting the tour of the Giorgio Cini Foundation with the Borges Labyrinth and the Wood with the Vatican Chapels

Dear visitors,

The Giorgio Cini Foundation is opening for visitors , offering an open-air itinerary which allows you to enjoy the beauties of the island while favouring social distancing. In compliance with the anti-COVID 19 norms, your collaboration is fundamental and for this we ask you to follow the instructions below.

A fixed number of people are admitted at fixed times, so it is compulsory to book your ticket online

With reference to Legislative Decree no. 105 of 23 July 2021,  from 6 August 2021, access to places of culture is allowed upon presentation of a valid green pass and an identification document. This provision does not apply to children up to 12 years of age and to persons exempt on the basis of suitable medical certification. For more information click here

For your visit an audio guide is available, included in the ticket price. Alternatively, to make the experience completely contactless and safe, you can download the app for the tour on your own smartphone (iOs or Android). The audio guides which you can rent onsite are sanitised each time they are used, but we advise you to use your own earbuds for the tour.

The meeting-point for the tour of the Giorgio Cini Foundation is at the San Giorgio Café. Once you get off the boat, go left, towards the lighthouse, then turn the corner and go straight; you will find the coffee shop on your right.

It is recommended to arrive at least 10 minutes before the tour departure to ensure punctuality. In case of delay, it will not be possible to have a refund but you can join the next tour or another tour, subject to availability..

The tour of the Giorgio Cini Foundation with the Borges Labyrinth lasts about 50 minutes and will be accompanied by an operator whom we ask you to follow throughout the itinerary. The tour of the Vatican chapels will last about 50 minutes and you are free to move around as you wish. Our operator will accompany you to the entrance to the wood of the Cini Foundation and at the end of the tour will accompany you to the exit. We ask you to respect the times in order to allow other visitors to do the tour under the same conditions.

The paths in the Wood with the Vatican Chapels may sometimes be bumpy, so we advise you to wear comfortable footwear and to take care as you proceed. We also invite you not to enter the areas which are not open to the public, not to run and to keep children under control.

During the tour we ask you follow the instructions below in compliance with the health regulations issued by the authorities:

1. Face-mask

it is mandatory to always wear a surgical mask or FFP2 / 3 for nose and mouth protection

2. Interpersonal distancing

Follow the pre-established tour route avoiding stopping in the transit areas. Always maintain interpersonal distance of at least 2 meters from other people, unless they are family members. Follow staff instructions when regulating waiting queues. Do not create crowds.

3. Temperature measurement

It is not possible to access the Foundation if you have symptoms of acute respiratory infections (fever, cough, cold) or have had close contact with people following SARS-CoV-2 in the previous 14 days. It is necessary to undergo a temperature measurement at the entrance

4. Sanitisation

Sanitise your hands frequently using the special alcohol-based disinfectants or the soap available in the toilets;

5. Contact

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth and face generally with your hands;

6. Surfaces

Limit your contact with common surfaces (walls, handrails, desk etc.) to the indispensable.

7. Earbuds

Equip yourself with your own earbuds if you use the audio guide; alternatively you can download the app for the tour onto your own smartphone
